Real Training for Real-World Control
At K9 Conditioning and Control, every dog is assessed first so the training plan matches the dog, the owner, and the problem. No guessing. No cookie-cutter programs. Whether your dog is pulling, reacting, ignoring you, lacking confidence, destroying things, or simply needs a proper outlet, the goal is the same: build structure, clarity, and control.
Training Services
Obedience Training
Obedience is not about party tricks. It is the foundation of control.
We build practical obedience that works when life gets messy — on lead, around distractions, near other dogs, at doors, in public, and when your dog would rather ignore you.
Training can include leash control, recall, place training, focus, impulse control, calm behaviour, door manners, handler engagement, and clear communication between dog and owner.
The goal is simple: a dog that understands direction, respects structure, and can switch from drive to control when it matters.
Behaviour Training
Reactivity, pulling, snapping, overexcitement, anxiety, pushiness, and poor control do not get fixed by hoping the dog “grows out of it.”
We look at why the behaviour is happening, what the dog is getting out of it, and what needs to change between the dog, the owner, and the environment.
This work is about rebuilding control, improving confidence, creating clearer boundaries, and teaching the dog better decisions under pressure.
The aim is not to just suppress behaviour — it is to create a dog that can think, respond, and be handled safely in the real world.
Conditioning
This is not a casual walk around the block.
Conditioning is structured movement using controlled electric scooter running to give high-energy dogs a real outlet while building stamina, focus, discipline, and control.
For the right dog, physical work is not just exercise — it is a way to drain frustration, create mental clarity, build fitness, and improve handler connection.
Perfect for high-drive dogs, working breeds, active dogs, and dogs that need more than slow walks and backyard boredom.
Protection, Guarding and Bitework Foundations
Protection work is not for every dog — and it is not built on chaos. It starts with control.
Before any protection, guarding, or bitework foundation training begins, the dog must be assessed for suitability, temperament, stability, confidence, handler control, and safety. If the dog is not suitable, we will not proceed.
For suitable dogs, we work on confidence, drive development, grip foundations, guarding behaviour, handler engagement, obedience under pressure, and the ability to switch between intensity and control.
A dog with power and drive must still be clear, stable, and manageable. The goal is not a reckless dog that reacts to everything — the goal is a dog that understands structure, pressure, direction, and release.
This work is built for owners who take control seriously and understand that protection training requires discipline, responsibility, and clear handling.
Free Assessment
Before any training starts, we assess the dog properly.
The assessment helps us understand the dog’s temperament, behaviour, confidence, drive, triggers, obedience level, physical needs, and handler relationship.
This saves time, avoids guessing, and allows us to build the right plan from the start.
If the dog needs obedience, behaviour work, conditioning, confidence building, or protection foundations, the assessment tells us what is suitable and what is not.
